Things to Consider Surfing in Northern California

The water is cold up here! Full-body wetsuits, which we provide, are the norm for most surfers in Northern California. Getting in and out of a wetsuit can be challenging for the most agile individual, so ask yourself if your child will be able to put on and take off a wetsuit with assistance. Wetsuits fit snugly and are like full-body pressure suits; some may like them while others won't.

Changing weather and surf can make the ocean unpredictable. Being comfortable in the water and the ability to follow directions is important for everyone's safety and to fully enjoy the surf experience. Safety is our number one priority.
